ServiceNow, a digital workflow company dedicated to making people’s jobs better, announced a new integration with Cisco DNA Spaces to enhance contact tracking through its Wi-Fi-enabled Proximity Reporting application. This integration will help companies that reunited employees to refocus on physical distance in the workspace. The company has also added new features to its ServiceNow Safe Workplace suite to make business travel safer and better managed.
The integration with Cisco DNA Spaces will enable ServiceNow and Cisco joint customers to seamlessly import location-based data into the ServiceNow Contact Tracing application to identify potential interactions with affected employees. The Cisco DNA Spatial Proximity Report enables customers to better understand the extent of each interaction and the potential exposure of floors and buildings throughout the workplace. This information is based on employees’ Wi-Fi network connections with laptops and mobile devices, so the case manager can take wise action immediately. The new integrated solution will help reduce the spread of infectious diseases in the workplace, such as COVID-19, by identifying employees who may have been in contact with affected employees.
ServiceNow also launched the new Employee Travel Safety application as part of its Safe Workplace suite. Currently, the application is available, allowing organizations to pre-authorize employees’ business travel based on the security of the destination. Automatic health checks before and during the trip, as well as daily contact follow-up reports, help ensure compliance with the company’s safety policies to make travel safer.
