The Dutchman Frank Slootman has stepped down as CEO of ServiceNow since April 2011. He will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors until his resignation from a commercial cloud service provider on April 3. . No reason for leaving.

He was replaced by John Donahoe (photo) until the breakup between PayPal and the CEO of the online sales site eBay in 2015. At the time, Forbes talked about a golden parachute worth $23 million.

Under his leadership, eBay’s revenue more than doubled to more than $18 billion, and the company’s valuation climbed 250% to $80 billion. John Donahoe continues to serve as chairman of the board of PayPal and chairman of Nike and Intel.

He graduated from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and holds an MBA from the Stanford University School of Business in California. He has nearly 30 years of management experience. He started his career in 1982 as a consulting partner of Bain & Company, where he worked for more than 23 years. From 1999 to 2005, he was especially the president and chief executive officer of the company. Subsequently, he joined eBay and took over the position in the marketing department.
