Teamviewer expands its enterprise platform Tensor

Teamviewer

Today, TeamViewer showed a comprehensive update of the TeamViewer enterprise platform Tensor. In addition to the recently released mobile software development kit (SDK), TeamViewer Tensor now also provides co-browsing and supports the multi-tenant needs of large organizations.

2020 has brought huge challenges in digitalization to many companies. Not only need to improve the internal processes of working outside the office, but also the interaction with customers, who are now almost exclusively using digital quotations. Therefore, the current update of TeamViewer Tensor provides greatly improved options for secure and innovative customer interaction using the Mobile SDK and co-browsing with the integrated chat function.

In addition, it also provides support for multi-tenancy and remote work of large enterprises. These include a security screen function for remote control of devices, improved conditional access rules, and comprehensive reporting and auditing functions to easily handle compliance rules. The TeamViewer Pilot augmented reality solution has also been integrated into the Tensor platform, so, for example, it can also support employees with hardware issues in the home office.

Details of Tensor innovation:

  • Co-browse
With this solution, company employees can not only support their website visitors with technical issues, but also support their website visitors with content-related issues (such as during the purchase process), because employees can provide support to their website visitors Support is provided through browser-based screen sharing. This is useful, for example, if the chatbot integrated with the system cannot help, and the site visitor needs help with navigation, purchase advice or support for technical issues.

Site visitors do not need to install any content. The data sent in this case can be pre-restricted by the provider so that text entries such as passwords are not sent. The entire support is always limited to a single tab. The support staff cannot check which websites are also open, or whether other programs are running on the PC.

  • Multi-tenant
Multi-client capabilities allow TeamViewer customers to merge previously separate subsidiaries or individual company areas into one organization, while maintaining strict separation of content and access rights. A smaller team of administrators can take care of a large number of users in the entire group.

Licenses for the entire organization can be managed in the form of a central license management system, and specific license reports can be used to assess further requirements. This means that you can immediately see if a part of the company is using all available licenses. This greatly reduces management work, saves costs, and improves safety.

  • TeamViewer pilot integration
Through the integration of the augmented reality-based support solution TeamViewer Pilot developed by TeamViewer, in addition to pure software issues, simple remote support can also be achieved. With TeamViewer Pilot, users can connect between a PC and a mobile device or between two smart phones, and use the smart phone’s camera for general browsing in the field to help solve complex problems.

Both participants had the opportunity to use markers and freehand drawings to highlight special points to guide them through various work steps, as well as share files with each other, insert text and chat. This is very advantageous in a home office, because the IT service desk can provide remote assistance by connecting to a computer, connecting other equipment or other hardware problems.

TeamViewer Tensor is for companies that want to ensure the connectivity between the company’s internal and external parties through the regular TeamViewer function and want to act in a cost-effective manner in internal and external support. The product includes special features that meet the requirements of large companies, such as unlimited number of connections, specific roles and access management, conditional access rules, single sign-on implementation, event logs, large-scale deployment, mobile device support, and numerous integrations, such as ServiceNow, Intune Wait.

The newly added features realize a new dimension of interaction with customers. The Mobile SDK launched in August provides Tensor customers with a white label implementation for the TeamViewer software in their applications to provide innovative in-app support that complies with GDPR.
