ServiceNow channel partner Highmetric acquired ServiceNow ecosystem company NewRocket.
Highmetric is an elite ServiceNow partner, focusing on providing customers with a complete set of solutions, including ServiceNow’s digital workforce and automation capabilities, with a focus on customer service, human resources, governance, risk and security operations. Highmetric is the former ServiceNow division of a large solution provider called Highmetric. It was acquired by San Francisco-based private equity firm Gryphon Investors in late May, and retained the Highmetric name, and the remaining Highmetric business was renamed MajorKey Technologies.

At the same time, Gryphon also acquired Fishbone Analytics and Iceberg Networks and combined them with Highmetric to create what it calls the world’s largest pure ServiceNow partner. Stoyka joined Highmetric as CEO at the time.
“Gryphon Investors’ strategy is to develop an excellent ServiceNow ecosystem partner company that specializes in creative solutions,” he said. “I believe in their plan. The fact is that there is a huge opportunity for growth in the ServiceNow ecosystem. We realize that there is an opportunity to develop something special.”
San Diego-based NewRocket focuses on user experience design within the ServiceNow ecosystem, building solutions that help streamline processes and provide digital experiences to global customers including Fortune 100 companies.
“We are looking to acquire companies with differentiated capabilities,” Stoica said. “NewRocket is the leader in UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) on the ServiceNow platform. It’s interesting to see their creative ways of solving problems.”
Stoyka declined to discuss the cost of Highmetric’s acquisition of NewRocket.
Stoyka said that Highmetric worked with 7 Mile Advisors, an industry-focused investment banker and M&A advisory services company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, to evaluate several potential acquisitions in the ServiceNow area.
“We are looking for outliers, not just the status quo,” he said. “NewRocket is really different. It focuses on user empathy. They focus on how to design solutions to maximize the user experience. This is what we want to bring to every customer. We think NewRocket is this The core of success.”
Stoyka said that looking forward to the future, Highmetric will continue to seek new acquisitions.
“Our situation is very good now,” he said. “With NewRocket, we now have a complete solution and a differentiated solution.”
Stoyka said Highmetric has a good track record of retaining the executives and employees it acquired. He said that Nathan Firth, NewRocket’s president and chief engineer, is now Highmetric’s chief creative officer.
“Not many companies have a chief creative officer,” he said. “But we believe that it is important to be able to create beautiful things that can be used every day.”
