Zscaler and ServiceNow integration improves cloud data and threat control

Zscaler

Zscaler and ServiceNow announced new integrations designed to enhance customers’ zero-trust architecture by providing complete control over sensitive cloud-based data and rapid threat detection and response.

The two companies said the new product provides local ingestion of Zscaler cloud security threat intelligence to speed up the threat investigation and response workflow of cloud-first organizations.

It enables security teams to use a single console to view actionable data, thereby reducing the need for different management tools for point products.

According to the two companies, through Zscaler data protection integration, customers can improve data protection and compliance on the ServiceNow Now platform.

By allowing Zscaler to control authentication, remote and unmanaged devices can be restricted from accessing ServiceNow’s platform and data.

Devices can only access ServiceNow through Zscaler, which can enforce security policies and control access to sensitive data.

The specific benefits of Zscaler and ServiceNow integration include:

Restore data protection and compliance: Companies can scan for sensitive data and violations in designated ServiceNow instances to improve data visibility and help prevent leakage, so that they can quickly understand how the data is used and who is visiting.

Enable jobs safely from anywhere: Unmanaged devices and BYOD devices will not be able to access the Now Platform and its sensitive data, so that a secure working experience anytime, anywhere can be achieved only on secure managed devices.

Simplify incident response: Add Zscaler threat intelligence to the incident response workflow in the ServiceNow Security Incident Response Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) solution, enabling IT leaders to respond more quickly to emerging threats and gain access to emerging incidents Better fidelity.

In addition, ServiceNow can automatically add new malicious domains and URLs to Zscaler Internet Access to immediately contain threats.

Amit Sinha, Zscaler’s president, chief technology officer and board member, said: “The migration of applications and data to the cloud is driving network transformation.

“At the same time, organizations are turning to a mixed workforce. In this case, working anywhere, anytime is quickly becoming the norm, and a new approach to security based on zero trust is needed.

“Zscaler ensures that only authenticated users and security devices can access ServiceNow based on business policies, without placing them on the same network.

“By sharing threat intelligence and leveraging context-based access control, Zscaler and ServiceNow can reduce business risk, simplify compliance, and improve user experience from anywhere.”

The Senior Vice President of ServiceNow IT Workflow Products said: “As modern companies race to achieve digitalization, rapid technological and data growth has made data privacy and security a concern at the board level.

“ServiceNow’s workflow creates an enterprise-wide structure that helps ensure the resilience and agility of the company’s digital environment.

“Zscaler has collaborated to expand our workflow to help customers investigate and mitigate safety issues that can disrupt business and damage the brand.”
