ServiceNow will acquire Intellibot, a developer of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions based in Hyderabad, India. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ServiceNow intends to integrate Intellibot functionality natively into the Now platform to expand its dedicated workflow capabilities to automate the most repetitive employee tasks.
“ServiceNow is a platform for workflow revolution, providing powerful end-to-end automation capabilities, enabling customers to simplify business decisions and unlock new levels of productivity,” Josh Kahn, Vice President and Chief Product Officer of ServiceNow’s Creator Workflow, said in a statement. “Our customers account for nearly 80% of the Fortune 500, and the vast majority of them try to promote automation by mixing old and modern applications. With Intellibot, we will extend ServiceNow’s capabilities to help customers connect different systems so they can Easily automate workflow and increase productivity. “
ServiceNow recently released the Quebec version of its platform, with new features that can help customers develop workflows that can adapt to today’s changing economic conditions and rapidly changing business environment. Intellibot will complement these functions and expand the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning, low-code development, process mining, process automation, chatbots and virtual agents.
The acquisition also supports ServiceNow’s commitment to the Indian market, which is one of the company’s fastest-growing markets. It plans to develop two new data centers there by the first quarter of 2022, especially to meet local data residency requirements and support its growth. India is home to its second largest R&D center and a strong talent pool. ServiceNow plans to double the number of its employees in the country in the next three years.
