Accenture and ServiceNow have joined forces to form a global business unit dedicated to digital transformation projects.
The department will be composed of 8,500 Accenture personnel with ServiceNow skills, who will be dedicated to promoting customers’ workflow and platform development, marketing, sales and business development.
This department is called the Accenture ServiceNow business group and will be particularly focused on helping customers create more self-service and remote work programs.
Accenture is currently a global elite partner of ServiceNow, and has taken the lead in several major ServiceNow projects such as the pharmaceutical giant Boehringer Ingelheim and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet said: “By further strengthening the strategic alliance with ServiceNow, we will enable our customers to accept change more quickly.”
“By migrating to the cloud, they can reimagine their operations, retrain their staff skills and become more sustainable. Working with ServiceNow to automate complex processes and create better experiences in various industries, we will help organizations Provide greater 360-degree value to benefit everyone (their customers, employees, shareholders, partners, and communities).
At the same time, ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott claims that too many organizations are still trapped in traditional workflow silos.
He added: “Our partnership with ServiceNow and Accenture brings together a world-class team, expertise and modern workflow platform to accelerate the digital transformation of every organization.”

The announcement came as a digital workflow software vendor launched its new “ServiceNow Partner Industry Solutions” market.
Accenture is one of the first partners to join the new platform.
