IDC and Brightstar Name Finalists for 2022 CIO Awards New Zealand

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND, 28 October 2022 – IDC and Brightstar have announced this year’s finalists in the CIO Awards which recognize individuals and teams who have demonstrated leadership, innovation and foresight in their contribution to the digital transformation of ICT and business functions.

Finalists are selected based on a judgmental review of their written submissions. Judging focuses on the intersection of business and technology for both individuals and teams who have made a significant contribution to driving outstanding digital transformation initiatives for the companies they work for. All finalists are interviewed by an independent judging panel representing the highest echelon of New Zealand’s ICT and business community, from previous award winners to leading executives and educators.

These include experienced entrepreneur and company director, John Holt, Independent Director, Susan Paterson and CDO at NZTE, Richard Kay.

The winners will be announced at the CIO Awards Night on the 29thth November at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. The Awards are supported by ServiceNow, ClearPoint, Juniper Networks, Sharp, CompTIA, Younity and 2Degrees.

IDC New Zealand Country Manager, and awards judge, Louise Francis extended her personal congratulations to all the finalists, saying they exemplified the digital excellence thriving in New Zealand. “As we rapidly move into the era of digital business, the finalists of the 2022 CIO Summit Awards show what this future will look like. The 2022 finalists, in six categories, are:

‘New Zealand CIO of the Year’, for how they have positioned the CIO role strategically within the company, demonstrating innovation and successful change over the past 12 months. They have a clear roadmap for the future and demonstrate how they fit into the company’s overall business strategy.
