Knowledge 2019: ServiceNow relies on Google as a cloud partner

Knowledge

Simplification is the main motivation for the software manufacturer ServiceNow’s internal exhibition Knowledge 2019 in Las Vegas. In his keynote speech, John Donahue, who has served as CEO since 2017, evoked the role of digitalization in front of 20,000 audiences: In the past ten years, mobile technology has changed our personal lives, and now we work The same will happen in China. At ServiceNow, we want to help shape the future of work. “

ServiceNow chose Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as its cloud offensive partner. In the first step, IT Operations Management (ITOM) should be able to be used with GCP. Then other features related to deployment guidelines and self-service will be added, including support for Google’s Deployment Manager (GDM). In addition, GCP’s artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) services will be integrated into ServiceNow products from the fall of 2019. Among other things, these applications will use Google Cloud’s AutoML Translation API to translate user support requests into the language of the support agent.

In addition to the cloud, ServiceNow also relies on mobile technology. The company hopes to rely more and more on the app and announced at the Now Mobile trade fair that it will streamline the paper-based processes so far, such as the ordering process, vacation permits or new hires.

To help developers write applications, ServiceNow took over the low-code development platform SkyGiraffe in 2017. The acquisition of Appsee, a startup specializing in user behavior analysis announced at the exhibition, now fits this.

The date for the next internal exhibition has been set: The ServiceNow community will meet in Orlando from May 3-7, 2020.
