Nutanix expands data management capabilities

Nutanix, a hyper-converged infrastructure provider, announced a series of new features at Tuesday’s conference, extending data management capabilities Global NEXT digital experience in 2021.

This update 2.3 extends what Rajiv Mirani calls “one-click operation”, allowing enterprises to expand and adjust the database size in real time without downtime.

Eric Burgener believes that Nutanix Data Lens can help improve Nutanix’s overall hybrid cloud management capabilities.

This is especially a new governance service under the SaaS model, which must be able to manage the life cycle of unstructured data, files, and objects, regardless of where it is deployed.

According to Rajiv Mirani, Data Lens will provide DBAs with insights into different aspects of data, including understanding who reads and writes the data access patterns.

The CTO emphasized that Data Lens can also promote data quality lifecycle management to support the organization’s compliance work. Nutanix also integrates security into Data Lens to prevent ransomware, which helps identify risks.
