ServiceNow deposited millions of dollars for Israeli startup Loom Systems last week, and this week Passage AI will be acquired by the company that specializes in automating certain business functions. It is not clear how much ServiceNow will pay for Passage AI.
Passage AI is mainly focused on creating chat bots, and then companies can launch these chat bots on its own website, Facebook Messenger, Alexa, and other platforms. The chatbot can speak more than a hundred different languages, which will make it easier to deal with customer issues.
This is exactly why ServiceNow took over the startup, because it wanted to add this feature to its own services: “make the company’s workflow smoother.”
Not the first time to start a business
Details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. In the eyes of Passage AI customers, it is now a relevant participant. Car manufacturers such as Ford and Mastercard use these services because the Passage AI chatbot makes it easier to communicate in many different countries (in different languages).
Last week, ServiceNow acquired the start-up company Loom Systems, which specializes in monitoring the data flow within the company. The company’s customers include Microsoft.
In the past few years, ServiceNow has acquired several artificial intelligence startups to expand its services. These two are led by the new CEO Bill McDermott (Bill McDermott), who served as CEO of SAP.
