ServiceNow announced on March 23 that it has signed an agreement to acquire Intellibot, an RPA (Robot Process Automation) company located in Hyderabad, India. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
With this acquisition, ServiceNow plans to expand its core workflow capabilities to support customers’ repetitive tasks through end-to-end automation. By natively integrating Intellibot’s functions into the Now platform, it tries to make it easier for customers to integrate modern and legacy systems.
ServiceNow recently launched the “Quebec” version of the Now platform. Intellibot complements the platform’s functions with existing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), integration and low-code development, process mining, process automation, natural language translation (NLX), chatbots, virtual agents, etc. It pointed out that the function will be enhanced. The Now platform is used to integrate legacy systems and improve the workflow and processes of large enterprises.
ServiceNow, led by former SAP CEO Bill McDermott, has acquired a number of artificial intelligence companies to enhance its technology and expertise within the Now platform. So far, it has acquired Element AI, Loom Systems, Passage AI and Sweagle. The company said that the Now platform combines these technologies to provide a comprehensive toolbox for responding to digital transformation plans.
ServiceNow also said that the acquisition of Intellibot will expand its base in India. India has become one of the company’s fastest growing markets. The company plans to build two new data center facilities in India by the first quarter of 2022 and double the number of its employees in India within three years.
