ServiceNow, a workflow company that allows everyone to work better, announced this week that it has reached an agreement to acquire Sweagle, a configuration data management company based in Belgium. The transaction will extend ServiceNow’s DevOps and IT Operations Management-ITOM capabilities, enabling customers to use machine learning to identify potential misconfigurations, prevent them from causing production disruptions and speed up repairs.
Covid-19 has greatly increased the importance of organizations quickly adapting their technology to meet the changing needs of customers and employees. Sweagle provides a single, trusted source for configuration data that would otherwise be scattered across multiple tools. With Sweagle, ServiceNow customers will be able to identify and intercept application and infrastructure inconsistencies during the rapid development cycle.
ServiceNow customers will be able to deploy applications and infrastructure faster on a single data platform, keeping up with the most frequent code changes
“With Sweagle’s configuration data management capabilities, we will allow the DevOps team to make application and infrastructure changes faster, while reducing risk,” said RJ Jainendra, vice president and general manager of DevOps and ServiceNow IT business management. “Sweagle has also brought outstanding DevOps talents to ServiceNow. Its two founders are pioneers in configuration data management. We are honored to have these professionals join our team because we will continue to help our customers compete in the digital economy and Win.”
In addition to its DevOps and IT operations management health solutions, Sweagle will also help accelerate ServiceNow’s new service map by managing the configuration data of public and private cloud environments and modern application architectures (such as microservices, containers, and serverless computing) route map. By focusing on providing a great experience for employees and customers, organizations often need to traverse 50,000 items or more of configuration data to get a single enterprise application to function properly. With Sweagle, ServiceNow customers will be able to deploy applications and infrastructure faster on a single data platform and keep pace with the most frequent code changes.
“Today, configuration data is as important as having good code-this is the foundation of Sweagle’s construction,” said Mark Verstockt, CEO and co-founder of Sweagle. “We are honored to join ServiceNow because they will continue to drive digital transformation and drive customer success. Every day, the company will have problems due to incorrect configuration data. Together, we can help customers improve application quality without manual labor and reduce costs. .”
ServiceNow expects to complete the acquisition at the beginning of the third quarter of 2020. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
