Complex workflows. The ServiceNow Safe Workplace application suite and dashboard are designed to allow everyone to return to the workplace.”
ServiceNow Safe Workplace App and Dashboard
ServiceNow has expanded its employee workflow portfolio with the ServiceNow Workplace application suite. The kit is powered by the Now platform and includes four new applications and a dashboard to help companies determine whether their employees and workplaces are ready to return to the office.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business transformation is happening right before our eyes, and organizations are relying on technology to empower employees and digitize processes,” said Josh Bersin, global industry analyst and dean of the Josh Bersin Academy. “ServiceNow’s Safe Workplace application suite is exactly the solution that organizations need to manage their employees’ return to the office and optimize the experience.”
To support the preparations of HR, IT, legal, and workplace service leaders, ServiceNow has launched the following applications:
• Employee Readiness Survey: By answering questions about employees’ personal willingness and interest to return to the office, help the company determine the employee’s willingness to return to the office. Companies can use these answers to determine the necessary steps to successfully re-enter the office.
• Employee health screening: enables companies to screen employees before they return to the office and determine whether they meet return requirements, such as temperature control and personal protective equipment. This allows the employer to determine whether it is safe to return to the workplace. The app also provides a reporting dashboard to view trends and record employee returns.
ServiceNow has also launched two applications to help companies prepare for employees to return to work:
• Workplace safety management: Help facility and workplace service managers to achieve a clean and hygienic workplace so that employees can return safely. Using the app, managers can schedule shifts so that employees can use the workplace for a certain period of time, and then adjust the cleaning schedule accordingly. Reports and dashboards provide real-time insight into bookings and booking thresholds from different floors, buildings and locations. You can also understand the status of cleaning activities and complete audit history in real time.
• Workplace PPE inventory management: Help organizations manage and monitor their personal protective equipment inventory to ensure the personal safety of employees. The app’s dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of each location’s inventory, a holistic view of the entire workplace, and insights into how the protective equipment inventory is evolving. Inventory levels can be updated daily to achieve accurate and real-time inventory management.
By using the Now platform, ServiceNow collects all data from these applications and displays the data in an overview of the Safe Workplace Dashboard. The dashboard is free to visualize data from these applications and provide maps using public data on infection rates. This allows organizations to view the geographic location of the infection and make adjustments to specific work locations. Based on the availability of the workplace and the readiness of employees, the location is marked with indicators that indicate whether the business can and will remain open.
“In Lincoln, several teams are developing, communicating, and implementing a plan to help employees get back to work,” said Lisa M. Buckingham, executive vice president and chief personnel, local and brand officer of Lincoln Financial Group. M. Buckingham) said. “There is no room for error in the health and safety of our employees. Given the changing environment and various factors, technical solutions such as ServiceNow are invaluable in effectively coordinating, monitoring and evaluating our plans and progress.”
The return of employees to the workplace requires good company planning, execution and flexibility. Departments such as IT, human resources, and legal departments must work together seamlessly to provide a safe and efficient experience for all employees, whether they are returning to work or continuing to work from home. These are workflow issues. Complex cross-functional workflows are essential to provide services and experiences to employees, allowing them to complete their work seamlessly and efficiently no matter where they are.
ServiceNow’s comprehensive employee workflow product portfolio enables these and other experiences. For example, ServiceNow’s existing Targeted Campaign feature can inform different groups of employees about opportunities to return to the workplace and solicit and respond to feedback from these employees. In addition, ServiceNow’s lifecycle event engine can create workflows related to employee journeys-such as returning to work, onboarding, and leaving. The life cycle event function can be used to automate processes in human resources, IT, workplace services, and other departments to support easy employee return.
Organizations that undergo digital transformation through digital workflows can resume work more efficiently, efficiently, and safely. ServiceNow aims to help customers get rid of this pandemic responsibly and ensure that everyone can return to the office.
Emergency response application extension
This announcement was made after the launch of the ServiceNow Customer Care Program, which aims to support customers in maintaining their business processes during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this announcement, ServiceNow has launched four community applications that can help governments and businesses manage complex emergency response workflows. Until September 30, 2020, these applications will be available to customers here for free. These applications have been installed more than 6,000 times.
ServiceNow has introduced two updates to these applications to further support the company in getting employees back to work. The update includes:
• Emergency self-report: Allow employees to inform their employers that they are in self-isolation and when they will return to work. It also provides work process support for employers. Now Mobile now supports the application, allowing employees to report via desktop and mobile devices.
• Emergency Outreach: This application helps companies discuss the impact with employees. Employers can provide information and security measures via email, and ask employees if they are safe and where they are. Employees can also use the ServiceNow Now mobile app to push notifications. ServiceNow released an emergency outreach update to allow integration with other communication channels such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
