ServiceNow acquired German database expert Swarm64 for an undisclosed price. With the acquired technology, the technology giant hopes to further prepare its own platform for the future.

Swarm64’s technology allows ServiceNow to more easily extend its platform digital workflow. Enterprises will soon be able to manage data more effectively across multiple use cases to perform complex and fast data analysis at scale. New technology makes it possible to perform search queries in the ServiceNow environment. In addition, companies can better handle large amounts of data transactions, and then use analytics and artificial intelligence in this regard.

Technology Swarm64

Swarm64 is a database solution provider that initially provided technology to accelerate the performance of specific PostgreSQL databases. Database experts provide a combination of analysis and transaction database functions that support large-scale intelligent workflows.

The company provides three products for this purpose: Swarm64 database accelerator, PostgreSQL cloud database PG Nitrous and support for PostgreSQL performance. With the acquisition of Swarm64, ServiceNow has also gained a firm foothold in the open source field.

The acquisition should be completed by the end of the third quarter.
