ServiceNow takes over Belgian Sweagle

ServiceNow

The US ServiceNow company, which specializes in workflow automation, has acquired the Belgian startup Sweagle. Sweagle has established a platform to manage and simplify device configuration.

Through this acquisition, ServiceNow hopes to combine its expertise in equipment development and operation management with Sweagle’s tools. They use AI to identify, detect, and fix potential misconfigurations. For example, this involves thousands of settings, parameters and safety information. If it is incorrect, it may cost the company a lot of time and money.

Sweagle was founded in 2017 by CEO Mark Verstockt and CTO Benny Van de Sompele. Verstockt said: “Today’s configuration data is as important as having good code-this is the foundation on which Sweagle builds.” “Every day, companies dealing with bad configuration data have problems. Together we can help customers provide higher quality applications. Procedures without manual operation, while reducing costs.

This is ServiceNow’s third major acquisition involving artificial intelligence this year. In January, it took over Loom Systems and Passage AI. The transaction with Sweagle is expected to be completed in the third quarter.
