Snow Software enhances ServiceNow CMDB with SAM integration

Snow Software and ServiceNow are expanding their integration. Snow Software’s software asset management (SAM) solution is now also integrated with ServiceNow’s configuration management database (CMDB). Therefore, all ServiceNow customers can now access clean, standardized IT inventory and SAM information. This allows them to take advantage of various IT advantages, including processing help desk tickets to optimize the availability of software licenses.

The Snow Software SAM platform enhances its capabilities by automatically supplementing ServiceNow’s CMDB hardware configuration and software inventory data (including information about software usage and the main users of each device). Snow Snow software’s unique software identification service cleans and normalizes this data.

Angus Cameron, Regional Business Manager of Snow Software: “ServiceNow is a leader in IT service management. Many of our customers have benefited from ServiceNow solutions. Through this integration, customers can access all types of services through an IT service management platform. Valuable SAM information for equipment optimization. More and more organizations are aware of the benefits, so through integration, we can help them realize the benefits.”

Snow Software’s SAM platform also provides insight into software licensing information, such as upgrade and downgrade rights and package identification. Through this link, the data in the ServiceNow ITSM solution can be synchronized with the Snow Software SAM platform. For example, this provides information about the main software being used, which can apply the correct license type, and provides information that helps analyze the support agreement.
