Zscaler announces new integration with ServiceNow

Zscaler

The cloud security player Zscaler announced a new integration with the digital workflow player ServiceNow. These new integrations provide advanced visibility, access control, and data security for optimal cloud data protection and security incident response. Through these enhancements, customers can fully control sensitive cloud-based data and rapid threat detection and response throughout the entire digital transformation process, thereby benefiting more from the zero-trust architecture.

This new product provides local integration of Zscaler cloud security threat intelligence to accelerate the threat investigation and response workflow of cloud-first organizations. These integrations allow security teams to view actionable data from a single console, simplifying their work. This reduces the need to switch between solution management tools at disjointed points.

With Zscaler data protection integration, customers can improve data protection and compliance on the ServiceNow Now platform. Allowing Zscaler to manage authentication makes it easier for remote and unmanaged devices to restrict their access to the ServiceNow platform and data. The device can only access ServiceNow through Zscaler, which can implement security policies and access control for sensitive data.

Zscaler President, Chief Technology Officer and Board Member Amit Sinha said: “The migration of applications and data to the cloud is also driving network transformation. “At the same time, organizations are shifting to a mixed workforce, and remote work is quickly becoming the norm. This requires a new security approach based on zero trust. Zscaler guarantees that only authenticated users and security devices can access ServiceNow without having to place them on the same network. By sharing threat intelligence and leveraging context-based access control, Zscaler and ServiceNow can reduce business risk, simplify compliance, and improve the user experience of remote work. “

By combining Zscaler and ServiceNow, joint customers can improve their data protection and compliance while simplifying incident response.

  • Restore data protection and compliance: Organizations can improve data visibility and help prevent leakage by scanning for sensitive data and violations in designated ServiceNow instances. This allows them to quickly see how the data is used and who has access to the data.
  • Work safely anytime, anywhere: Risky, unattended and BYOD devices will not be able to access the Now Platform and sensitive data in the platform. This enables a safe, anytime, anywhere work experience only on protected and managed devices.
  • Simplify incident response: Adding Zscaler threat intelligence to the incident response workflow in the ServiceNow Security Incident Response Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) solution, enabling IT leaders to respond to threats faster. In addition, ServiceNow will automatically add new malicious domains and URLs to Zscaler Internet Access to immediately contain the threat.

Pablo Stern, Senior Vice President of IT Workflow Products at ServiceNow, said: “As modern enterprises rush to digitize, rapid technological and data growth has put data privacy and security in the first place.” “ServiceNow’s workflow creates an enterprise-wide The foundation helps to ensure the resilience and flexibility of the organization’s digital environment. Working with Zscaler allows us to expand our workflow to help customers better investigate and resolve security issues.”
