Back to the office: ServiceNow joins Cisco to improve contact tracking

Back

ServiceNow announced a new integration with Cisco DNA Spaces to improve contact tracking using the Wi-Fi-enabled Proximity Reporting application. The integration will help the company welcome employees back to the workplace and society by monitoring physical spaces throughout the company The relationship of distance. The company has also added new features to its ServiceNow Safe Workplace software package to make business travel safer and easier to manage.

The integration with Cisco DNA Spaces will allow customers of both companies to seamlessly import location-based data into the ServiceNow Contact Tracing application and identify potential interactions with infected employees. The Cisco DNA Spaces proximity notification application allows customers to better understand the extent of each interaction and the likelihood of exposure on the floor and buildings in their space.

This information is based on the WiFi connections established by employees on laptops and mobile devices, so managers can take practical measures immediately. The new integrated solution will help reduce the spread of infectious diseases such as covid-19 in the workplace by identifying employees in locations that may have been in contact with another infected person.

Novo app employee travel safety

ServiceNow also launched the new Employee Travel Safety application as part of its Safe Workplace software package. The app is now available, allowing organizations to pre-authorize work travel for employees based on the security of the destination. Automatic health checks and daily monitoring contacts before and during a business trip help ensure compliance with company safety guidelines to improve travel safety.

The ServiceNow Safe Workplace software package has been downloaded by more than 700 organizations, including Bank of Bremen, American University, Coca-Cola European Partners and North Carolina (USA). Considering the dynamic nature of the covid-19 pandemic, ServiceNow will continue its plan to release news twice a month to support the growing needs of customers.
