ServiceNow has hired Microsoft veteran Eric Swift as the new vice president and managing director of Australia and New Zealand, replacing David Oakley, who has held leadership positions for nearly eight years.

Before assuming the top position, Swift worked at Microsoft for 20 years, spending most of his time at its Redmond headquarters, and held various positions, including Azure and Office 365 global sales leader.

Three years ago, he moved to Sydney as the executive general manager of corporate and commercial sales.

“I am glad to see [Swift] Lead the A/NZ team into the next phase of growth on our global path to becoming a defining platform company for the 21st century,” Mitch Young, Vice President of ServiceNow APJ, said in a LinkedIn post.

In October, Accenture and ServiceNow joined forces to form a global business unit dedicated to digital transformation projects.
