ServiceNow, a provider of digital workflow platforms, has appointed Microsoft veteran Eric Swift as its new vice president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Mitch Young, President of ServiceNow APJ, posted this appointment on LinkedIn, as well as another executive appointment in the company’s India office.
“I am happy to announce that Eric Swift has joined us as the new vice president and managing director of ServiceNow Australia and New Zealand,” Yang’s post read.
“Eric joined after an outstanding career at Microsoft for 20 years. I am very happy to see him lead the ANZ team into the next phase of growth on our global path to becoming a defining platform company for the 21st century.”
However, the announcement is not clear whether Swift will replace David Oakley, who has served as ServiceNow’s vice president and managing director of ANZ since 2013. CRN has contacted ServiceNow for clarification.
Swift joined ServiceNow after nearly four years as the executive general manager of corporate and commercial sales at Microsoft Australia.
Prior to this, Swift held a number of leadership positions in Microsoft’s US and global operations in 2001. Other positions include leadership positions at New Era of Networks, SalesPlus-Dendrite, Cornet International and IMS Health.
Swift also posted on LinkedIn: “After my first week at ServiceNow, I was inspired by the customer first and teamwork spirit of the entire organization.”
“I look forward to helping organizations in Australia and New Zealand work better for people!”
