ServiceNow announces a partnership with Celonis, Germany

BERLIN (Reuters)-The two companies said on Wednesday that the US technology platform ServiceNow has established a strategic partnership with the German software company Celonis to help customers identify workflows that can be automated.

The collaboration involves an unspecified investment by ServiceNow in Celonis, combining ServiceNow’s workflow platform with Celonis’ execution management system to process data, solve problems, and automate decision-making.

Celonis is a competitor of the German business software company SAP and has grown into the country’s most valuable start-up company. In June, we raised US$1 billion from investors, and the valuation after financing exceeded US$11 billion.

Alexander Rinke, co-CEO of Celonis, who co-founded Celonis in 2011 with students from the Technical University of Munich, told Reuters that the partner will launch a joint product as early as early 2022.

ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott (Bill McDermott) has been leading SAP for 10 years before 2019, and he expressed his look forward to working with Rinke.

McDermott compared Celonis’ work with X-rays, which show which parts are damaged and which parts need to be changed. “ServiceNow built a new process based on this.”

Celonis originally developed and sold process mining software that allowed customers to analyze large amounts of data discarded by modern business operations and find ways to improve business processes.

After acquiring Czech counterpart Integromat last year, it was renamed as an executive management platform and invested in recent capital income to help the software make better recommendations and make more informed decisions.
