One week after announcing that Bill McDermott had resigned as CEO of SAP, ServiceNow announced the appointment of him as CEO.
The former CEO of ServiceNow, John Donahoe (John Donahoe) announced earlier this year that he will move to Nike.
“Bill McDermott’s extensive experience will drive ServiceNow’s sustainable leadership in digital workflows,” said Jeff Miller, Senior Independent Director on the ServiceNow Board of Directors.
Interestingly, McDermott said when announcing his departure from SAP that he will stay in the company until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
It should be noted that, in a sense, ServiceNow is completely opposite to SAP. ServiceNow was founded in 2004 and was originally a provider of SaaS solutions. According to available data from open sources, SAP currently has more than 100,000 employees and ServiceNow has approximately 10,000 employees.
