ServiceNow and Google Cloud establish a new strategic partnership

ServiceNow

In order to fulfill the promise of cloud computing, ServiceNow and Google Cloud have established a strategic partnership to provide customers with the best services: Now Platform, ServiceNow’s intelligent and intuitive solutions, are associated with Google Cloud’s innovative and transformative technologies.

The first joint solution is expected to include ServiceNow’s native support for IT operations management of Google Cloud Platform. The partnership will also provide real-time translation in the management solution[1] ServiceNow’s industry-leading IT services (ITSM) industry utilizes the best artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities of Google Cloud.

This partnership makes Now Platform a truly multi-cloud platform that can support customers wherever their workloads are—on-premises or across major cloud providers.

Switch to the cloud in the best way

Historically, optimizing cloud operations has been tedious because the operations team lacked visibility into their cloud investments. The integration of ServiceNow ITOM and Google Cloud Platform will go one step further, applying the business environment to operational issues. Therefore, customers will be able to easily determine the impact of the problem on the business service level and can implement the best solution to keep their service running.

ServiceNow ITOM integration is expected to provide customers with a single, easy-to-use view of their business resources and services on the Google Cloud platform so that operators can effectively manage these services and improve service delivery.

The integration of ServiceNow’s ITOM and Google Cloud will provide new features in phases. The initial phase focuses on visibility and is currently available. The second phase focuses on deployment strategies and self-service configurations, including Google Deployment Manager (GDM) support, and is expected to be released in the second half of the year.

In the future, the two companies hope to continue to improve these integrations as part of the joint roadmap and expand into the areas of cloud reporting, optimization, and cost management.
Artificial intelligence for daily work

This collaboration is expected to bring the best artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities of Google Cloud to the Now platform. One of the first features will extend IT’s ability to support a global workforce through dynamic ITSM translation.

Language is one of the obstacles preventing IT from providing services in all regions. Now, IT can expand support globally through real-time language translation. The system translates user input into the agent’s preferred language so that agents and employees can talk in the language of their choice.

The system will use translation engines (including Google Cloud AutoML translation API) to dynamically translate content from ServiceNow’s ITSM platform.

Dynamic translation will be provided as part of the ServiceNow New York platform version, which is scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2019.

As part of this collaboration, ServiceNow and Google Cloud will also explore the development of other AI and ML functions around the understanding of documents, speech, and images.
