Former SAP CEO Bill McDermott (Bill McDermott) took over Servicenow. McDermott will serve as CEO and member of the board of directors from the second half of 2019. As Servicenow announced, the current Servicenow CEO John Donahoe is about to move to Nike and will take over as Nike’s management in January 2020.
According to the announcement, McDermott has worked at SAP for 17 years. He served as co-CEO from 2010 to 2014, and as CEO for the last five years. Before joining SAP, McDermott held senior positions at Siebel Systems, Gartner and Xerox.
Servicenow wrote that during his tenure as SAP CEO and co-CEO, SAP’s market value tripled and developed into a global software company. Jeff Miller, Chief Independent Director of the Servicenow Board of Directors, said: “The Servicenow Board is very pleased that Bill McDermott has joined the company. His global experience and reliable track record will ensure a smooth transition and continue to maintain a strong leadership position.”
